In this paper,the study object is the TAC1 series converters communication sub-system.The communication mode used by TAC1 series converters is PROFIBUS.With the development of industrial technology,the communication method of PROFIBUS cannot meet the communication needs of industrial automation systems.The purpose of the paper is to design a sub-system with PROFINET function to replace the PROFIBUS communication module used by previous converters and support the use of this frequency changer series.It adds to this product the ability of accessing PROFINET industrial Ethernet and achieves the purpose of extending its application.Based on the digestion and absorption of PROFINET related technical data,the paper first proposed a general solution for the design requirements of PROFINET communication sub-system.According to the overall design ideas,it designed the hardware circuit of PROFINET communication sub-system,mainly include the master chip circuit,power supply circuit,interface circuit,external memory circuit,crystal oscillator circuit and the state monitoring circuit.And designed two kinds of communication channels,not only the main control board for data communication,but also through the MicroUSB universal interface for direct use of data lines for communication,suitable for a variety of applications.This paper made a detailed description of the design process of PROFINET board hardware.Then it designed the software system,and introduced the software design process of PROFINET communication in detail.The design of software system mainly included GSD file design and PROFINET communication board software design.Then the paper introduced the development process of board software and how to realize the function of PROFINET board at great length.Finally,it made a system joint debugging by setting up testing environment for PROFINET communication and achieved PROFINET communication between Siemens PLC and PC.The experimental results indicated that the system can carry out reliable data transmission.The application was tested in Tianjin Electric Science Research Institute and the tested products performances were stable and met expected aims.
