Under the background of the significantly acceleration of the globalization of economy,the business environment of companies has become extremely complex and changeable.Procurement and inventory management are the core factors during the operation of a company and directly affect the costs.Strengthening procurement and inventory management is extremely important for improving profitability and keeping competitiveness.Through the optimization of procurement and inventory management,it will bring tangible economic benefits to the company and bring significant value added to the corporation value.N company is a U.S.invested equipment manufacturing company.Its development has been rapid in recent years,but its management level has remained at the initial stage.In particular,procurement and inventory management have become obstacles to the further development and growth of N company.N company purchases a wide range of raw materials,from machinery to electrical,from standard parts to a large number of non-standard customized parts,not only increases the difficulty of procurement management,but also brings inventory management challenges.Optimizing the N company's procurement and inventory management to match the company's development has become a top priority.In combination with N company's actual situation,the writer takes N company's purchase and inventory management as the research object,investigates,analyzes N company's existing purchase and the inventory management present situations and the existing problems,and analyzes the specific reasons.Against these problems and deficiencies,an optimization plan for N company procurement and inventory management is proposed: the organizational structure of the procurement department is adjusted to improve efficiency and strengthen internal control;the supplier selection process is improved to benefit the supplier management level;and the work order picking process is optimized to control count differences;In a variety of ways the inventory is under control,and it increases the inventory turnover.Finally,the optimization program is summarized and analyzed.It turns out that these optimization measures are fruitful.Through the optimization of N company's procurement and inventory management,it hopes to benefit N company's future development,and at the same time,it can also provide reference for similar improvement of other companies in similar fields.
