The problem of aging in China is becoming more and more serious.It is estimated that by the year 2020,the number of elderly people over 60 will increase by about 255 million,which accounts for about 17.8% of the total population.The number of solitary and empty nest elderly population will increase to 118 million,and the elderly dependency ratio will be as high as 28%.At the same time,because of our small scale family pension,family pension,community pension pressure is more and more big,but only the traditional accommodation and welfare homes for the elderly can not meet the needs of the elderly,the elderly demand for living space is not only the basic physiological needs,and should meet the spiritual needs of the elderly,enrich the spirit life,the elderly from Locke "live" to "".The aging rate of Taiwan’s population is faster than that of Japan.It entered the aging society in 1993,six years earlier than the mainland.Its pension experience is more abundant,and the pension mode is more mature.At the same time,as the historical background and system system of the two sides are similar,there are many similarities between the old people’s ideas.Therefore,the mature pension institutions in Taiwan have great reference to the mainland.This paper first proposes the research background of the issues,combined with China’s national conditions,analysis of the importance of comprehensive pension institutions,contrast on both sides of the historical background and institutional norms,demonstration of Taiwan pension institutions reference value;secondly,based on the hierarchy of needs theory,based on the actual situation of the Taiwan pension institutions as the starting point,through the data the collection,field research,in-depth interviews,drawing,learn how to meet the five needs of the elderly in architectural design;then,through the collation of the Taiwan nine pension institutions and per capita household satisfaction with the area,the multivariate linear regression analysis using SPSS,more variables impact on the elderly pension the strength,find the three most important activity space for elderly residents;finally,to Chang Gung health and Culture Village as an example,in-depth understanding of The dormitory space,traffic space and social space,using the methods of function space in pension institutions,and provide the reference for the comprehensive construction of the pension institutions in china.
