The Structure Manifestation In Architectural Space

With the development of architecture theory,the exploration and awareness of people to space are gradually turn from the objective entity(architectural space)to the relationship between the subjects(people)and the object.Afterwards,it turns to the research about the level of main part awareness.On one hand,the role of the people in the architect turns from the user to the experience,which has attracted more and more attention at the space perception process.On the other hand,the structure is the most important part of architecture technology.The relationship between the architecture and the structure has never been interrupted.The relationship is deserved to be mentioned again in each era.This paper takes the works of Japanese architects as an example to study the structural manifestation of architectural space perception.According to the analysis of Gestalt psychology,perceptual phenomenology and Genius loci theory,the paper classifies the spatial perception level into three dimensions:visual,perceptual and spiritual.Based on the three dimensions,we describe and summarize the ways of structure manifestation.It is hoped that the study from this new perspective will enable us to understand the inner relation between structure and architecture more deeply and clearly,and provide some reference for the future research on structural manifestation in architectural space.
