Huge losses were caused in previous earthquakes in the rural areas of Gansu Province due to the poor natural environment,the weak economic foundation as well as the irrationality in the rural building.Based on numerous investigations in the rural areas there,it was found that the stock of raw soil structure residence is very large,and it's dangerous house rate is higher,and There is almost no seismic construction measures.In the national policy for the precise poverty alleviation,disaster prevention and mitigation,it's necessary to reinforce the maintenance for the these dwelling houses.While the existing reinforcement technique mainly specific to urban construction rather than the raw-soil structure building.Therefore,built upon the principle of scientific evaluation,accurate reinforcement,simplicity and effectiveness,economy and rationality,and the protection of style,the reinforcement study which aims at rural existing raw-soil structure building is of important practical significance.The paper mainly studied the following aspects :The statistical analysis of building structure type,construction mode,earthquake-resistant constructional measure,the level of the danger are conducted to better understand the use situation of rural dwellings in Gansu province.The results show that the local raw-soil structure building's safety performance generally exists problems.On the basics of survey,it is necessary to scientifically evaluate and study the techniques and methods for the typical raw-soil structure dangerous house.Base on the prototype of raw-soil structure dangerous building in Gansu province,making horizontal shear wall specimen in the proportion of 1/2,through the pseudo static test of bearing adobe wall that has been reinforced,the results show that the reinforced mortar,the bamboo veneer reinforced,the timber wood beam reinforcement measures which have been adopted primly restrain the adobe wall,effectively enhance the deformability and ductility with the improvement of the bearing capacity.Combined with the experimental data,five different improvement schemes of wall specimen's hysteresis curve,skeleton curve,the stiffness degradation curve and energy-dissipation are analyzed and evaluated comparatively.Finally,the paper gives a brief introduction to the engineering practices of the research achievement and focuses on the explanation of the raw-soil structure building reinforcement's construction technology and reinforcement cost.To summarize,the safety performance and shock resistance of raw-soil structure building can be increased greatly by adopting these reinforcement methods proposed in this paper,which are suitable for popularization and application in the rural areas of Gansu province and even the whole country.
