Research On International Competiveness Of China’s General Equipment Manufacturing Industry

Whether on the basis of rapid development of manufacturing in our country or its increasing stress on transformation and upgrading,people have tended to attach greater importance to production equipment in manufacturing industry nowdays.The production equipment is the basis of manufacturing industry for one country and decides the upper limit of its development.As far as manufacturing equipment is concerned,general equipment is an indispensable and important part of it.General equipment refers to the general name of production equipment which has universal applicability in national economic production activities.According to the “Dividing Industry of the National Economy” in 2017,general equipment is divided into nine major industries,which basically cover the major manufacturing equipment.Therefore,this study takes the general equipment as the research object,to analyze the international competitiveness of China’s manufacturing equipment.The main purpose of this study is to answer the following four questions through research.First,what is the status of the international competitiveness of China’s general equipment? Second,what are the future development trends of the industry’s international competitiveness? Third,what are the main factors that affect its international competitiveness? Fourth,what kind of industrial policies and corporate strategies should be established to improve its international competitiveness? In order to answer the above questions,this research studies the international competitiveness of China’s general equipment based on the problems found and the research ideas for solving the problems.First,this study uses factor analysis to fit the three most commonly used international competitiveness measurement indicators in the academic community as a comprehensive indicator to analyze the current status of China’s general international competitiveness of equipment.Second,through the above method,and unified data to measure the comprehensive competitiveness of the United States,Germany,the industry’s international competitiveness indicators,then to compared withour country.Third,through the regression model to predict the trend of China’s general equipment industry in the next three years of international competitiveness.Fourth,by using the "diamond model" amendments。The paper tries to build a factor model that affects China’s industry’s international competitiveness.Then by means of using the comprehensive indicators of regression analysis to analyze the degree of various factors on international competition.Fifth,based the conclusion of the above analysis,the author proposes suggestions for the development of China’s general equipment industry.Based on the results of research,the paper has reached the following conclusions:the overall competitiveness of China’s general equipment has increased year by year.Meanwhile,China surpassed the United States and Germany in 2012.Second,through predictive analysis,the international competitiveness of China’s general equipment industry will still have a clear upward trend in the next three years.Third,capital intensity,labor productivity,and technological innovation have a significant positive correlation with the international competitiveness of China’s general equipment industry.On the contrary,the market share in the international market and the appreciation of the renminbi are negative correlated.
