Energy security, environmental pollution and climate degradation are the three most serious challenges in the face of the world economy and human development. In order to effectively solve the greenhouse effect and other climate problems, countries all over the world have announced the ban time of their own fuel cars, and actively engaged in the research and development and promotion of new energy vehicles. Our government is also vigorously developing the new energy vehicle industry in order to improve people’s living environment and achieve sustainable development. In addition,in order to occupy a favorable position in the global competition in the field of high and new technology and realize the transformation of China from the large manufacturing country to the strength manufacturing country, the Chinese government has issued a number of strategic plans in recent years, such as "made in China 2025",which further defines the core development areas of China, including the new energy vehicle industry. At present,China is the largest new energy vehicle production and marketing country in the world, and the new energy vehicle industry is developing rapidly. However, compared with developed countries,China still lags far behind in terms of industrial base,R&D capacity, product quality and service. How to improve China’s international competitiveness in the new energy vehicle industry,to achieve the role of China from the large manufacturing country to the strength manufacturing country, has become an urgent problem to be solved. This paper takes the international competitiveness of China’s new energy vehicles as the research object.First of all, based on the analysis of the theories and methods of international competitiveness at home and abroad, the connotation, relevant theories and analytical models of industrial international competitiveness are summarized and sorted out.Secondly,it expounds the development status of China’s new energy vehicle industry, analyzing the causes of the international competitiveness of China’s new energy vehicles with porter’s "diamond model",and points out the existing problems in the industry. Then, according to the development status of China’s new energy vehicle industry, technology and innovation variables are introduced into the "Diamond Model".Based on this, the evaluation index system of the international competitiveness of new energy vehicles is constructed.By using the factor analysis model, the international competitiveness of China’s new energy vehicles is empirically analyzed. The results show that the comprehensive strength of China’s new energy vehicle industry has been in the forefront of the world, with significant advantages in market size and demand as well as the net inflow of industrial capital, but there is still a certain gap between China and developed countries in terms of core technology and infrastructure construction. Finally, according to the analysis results, the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions to enhance the international competitiveness of China’s new energy vehicles are proposed, that is,at the government level, strengthen the publicity of "green travell" theory;Increase support for research and development of core components for new energy vehicles;Further promoting the construction of charging infrastructure;Encourage the training of professionals in new energy vehicle industry; At the level of industry associations, promote cooperation and exchanges between automobile enterprises;Actively carry out professional training for industry personnel; At the enterprise level, change the ideas of developing new energy vehicles;Enhance the innovation ability of new energy vehicles;Strengthen cooperation with the sharing travel platform.
