In the 21 st century,the economy is developing rapidly and competition is intensifying.How to maintain its advantages in the fierce market competition,enterprise-level management systems and processes are especially important.With the increasing importance of project management,more and more enterprises are paying attention to the project management process and project management capability itself,and the emergence of project management maturity can help enterprises analyze project management level and improve project management capabilities.More than 30 project management maturity models have been researched and applied abroad,and the domestic research and application of project management maturity model is still insufficient.This paper studies the project management and project management maturity research results at home and abroad as a theoretical basis,researches and compares the classic project management mature models CMMI,OPM3,P3M3,and selects the P3M3 model as further research and application object.Company S is an important supplier of components to the industrial and automotive industries.In recent years,the company has developed rapidly,but it has also created many project management problems.This paper constructs relevant evaluation indicators from S company through seven aspects of project management maturity model P3M3: management control,stakeholder management,organizational governance,risk management,financial management,benefit management and resource management.The scoring method,the evaluation range,and the evaluation process are given.Based on the evaluation results of P3M3,the project management optimization plan of S company was formulated.At the same time,this paper also puts forward the necessary safeguard measures for the implementation of S company project management optimization plan: organization and system security,culture and personnel security,and information technology system security.Through the theoretical research and practice of P3M3,the problems of project management of S company were solved,the project management process was improved,the project management efficiency was improved,and the project management of S company was optimized overall.The author believes that this full process has certain theoretical guidance and practical reference significance for the similar project management ability improvement in other industries in the future.The project management maturity theory knowledge is complex and diverse,and the application industry covers a wide range.This paper only studies the model of P3M3.The research on high-level maturity model in maturity model and other similar maturity models are not covered in this paper.This is also the author’s need to continuously study and practice in the future work and learning process,summarized and explored.We believe that under the continuous research and practice of project management academics and users at home and abroad,the future project management maturity theory will be more mature and practical.
