Shadow puppetry culture is an important part of Chinese traditional folk culture and a traditional art form with strong regional characteristics.For this reason,shadow puppetry culture and art with strong regional characteristics have exerted a profound influence on domestic and foreign art in terms of aesthetic function and decoration.However,with the development of science and technology and the change of the times,the Shadow puppetry culture,which is a simple form of animation performance based on light and shadow vocal music,has been impacted by modern film and television programs and popular entertainment activities.It is becoming more and more difficult to develop,and even its inheritance requires national policies.To regulate and protect the existence of this art,the development of shadow puppetry culture requires innovation.How to spread the shadow puppetry culture through new expression techniques and display platforms is included in the research agenda.Starting from the origin and development of the shadow puppetry culture,this paper traces the artistic characteristics of the shadow puppetry culture elements,fully exploits the styling characteristics of the shadow puppetry art.This paper also takes the form of beauty,engraved line beauty and plot content in the shadow puppetry culture as the starting point of the study,focusing on its decorative function and exploring the possibility of the shadow culture element implanted in the dining space design.Consequently,let the dining space have a cultural heritage,highlight the spiritual connotation,realize the national characteristics of the design of the dining space with a permanent theme,and provide a new form for the expression of the dining space design.
