DID Analysis On The Impact Of Daxi High-speed Railway On Shanxi's Economic Development

In recent years,China has been increasing its investment in infrastructure construction.As an important part of infrastructure,transportation plays an important role in economic development.High-speed railway has become one of the important means of transportation in the new era due to its advantages of fast transportation speed and large carrying capacity.In 2016,the "medium-and long-term railway network planning" put forward the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network construction target.Shanxi Province is located in the central region of China,and its economic development has been in a relatively backward stage for a long time.Daxi high-speed railway runs through the north and south of Shanxi Province from datong city in Shanxi Province in the north to xi 'an city in shaanxi province in the south.29 stations are set along the route through seven cities including shuozhou,xinzhou,taiyuan,jinzhong,linfen,yuncheng and weinan.It is an important part of the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" railway network construction in China,including hunantong road and beijing-kunming road.This paper studies the influence mechanism of high-speed rail on regional economy by combing relevant literature and theoretical basis of the impact of high-speed rail on regional economy and combining the advantages of high-speed rail transportation.By collecting relevant data,the changes of Shanxi Province's economic development before and after the opening of dataxi high-speed railway were compared.Based on the change of Shanxi Province,a double difference model was built to analyze the impact of the dataxi high-speed railway on the regional economy along the line.The study found that the dataxi high-speed railway can promote the increase of GDP growth rate and per capita GDP of the cities along the route,narrow the urban-rural gap to a certain extent,but reduce the urbanization rate of the cities along the route,and its impact on industrial structure upgrading is not significant for the time being.Finally,the paper puts forward relevant policy Suggestions for the high-speed railway construction in Shanxi Province.
