In the urban road network,the intersection occupies an important position,which can greatly affect the service level of the road network.The traffic capacity at the intersection limits the traffic capacity of the entire road network.However,in recent years,the sharing of bicycles has developed rapidly,and more people have chosen bicycle to travel.Driven by the psychology of quickness,during the red light period,the bicycle habitually stops before the bicycle parking line even or right-turn vehicle parking line,which conflicts with the traffic flow of the rightturning vehicle,so that the traffic capacity of the right-turning vehicle at the intersection is reduced,and lay a safety hazard to the rider itself.However,the existing research on intersection capacity and traffic organization does not consider this conflict.This paper introduces its impact into the right-turn vehicle capacity model and proposes an improvement plan for intersection traffic organization.This paper first analyzes the traffic characteristics of bicycles and right-turning vehicles at intersections.Process of vehicle right-turning at the intersection is divided into an adjustment phase,a crossing phase,and a recovery phase.The driver behavior characteristics at each stage are analyzed.Analyze and determine the risk behavior of bicycles waiting at the red light at the intersection.Based on the investigation,the relationship between the bicycle traffic volume and the average vehicle speed,vehicle frequency and vehicle speed of the right-turning vehicle is fitted.To lay the foundation for further study of right-turn vehicle traffic capacity and traffic organization plans.Secondly,establish a right-turn vehicle capacity model under the influence of bicycles.Analyze the conflict between the right-turning vehicle and the bicycle under different conditions of the red light phase and the green light phase.Using wave current theory,nonlinear regression,probability theory knowledge and gap theory,the impact of bicycles entering conflict zones on right-turning vehicles is described by bicycle influence factors,which quantitatively reflects the impact of bicycle conflicts on traffic capacity.Corrective capacity models are established and an example is used for analysis.In order to improve the right-turning vehicle capacity and the safety of bicycles at intersections.This paper proposes two design schemes for bicycles that pass through the street successively,one for the intersection that set motor vehicle and non-motor vehicle green belts,and the other for the intersection that not set motor vehicle and non-motor vehicle green belts.A waiting area at the intersection was set for left-turn bicycles,and the waiting area setting model was discussed.Finally,the simulation is carried out in VISSIM,and corrective capacity models are utilized.The results show that with the improved scheme,the traffic capacity of the right turn vehicle and the average speed of the vehicle have been greatly improved,the travel time is shorter,and the conflict between the bicycle and the right turn vehicle is reduced,which can better protect the ride.The safety of the pedestrian at the intersection.
