Because shipbuilding in general has slumped along with global trade,reduce cost,and improve efficiency is the first-choice for market risks.Shipbuilding is a capital-intensive and labor-intensive trade.In the process of manufacture,we need a great amount of raw material,equipment,for example,steel,material fittings,paint,welding consumables,outfitting material,etc.Logistics Management-purchasing,dispatching,repository,distribution-has become the main factors which restrict the shipbuilding schedule.A good logistics management,not only affects the date of the shipment,but relates to the market reputation.The information technology is widely used by many Chinese big shipbuilding companies.But compare with some foreign advanced companies,we have a rather incomplete logistics distribution.It causes the plan,purchasing,arrival of goods doesn't match at all,and we can't make the full use of information technology.Company A-an internationally renowned shipbuilding company-follows the modern shipbuilding mode to implement the production activities.Company A,in the process of growth,always holds the information building in high regard.Company A depends on the advanced hardware configuration,the scientific production process flows,and the rational manufacturing techniques.The original information system continued to be improved in the past years for resolve some problem-the poor communication,the inefficiency of information integration which has affected on the efficiency of production,and the system provides the strong support for the lean shipbuilding management.Paint-the main material of shipbuilding-is a hazardous chemical.In the process of transport,warehouse,construction,companies always follow the more strict safety control.According to statistics,the sum of labor cost,energy cost and manufactory expenses which account for single ship cost of 2.3%,but the paint cost accounts for almost 3%.Company A,with several years of experience,has summed up a set of complete and effective paint management.As for the vendor,warehouse and production,Company A uses the whole life cycle management to improve the efficiency of inventory turnover and cooperate fully with production plans.Finally,it realized the goal of optimal inventory.Through the study of the painting logistics of Company A,developed a new paint logistics management system.The system realizes the integration of design,logistics and fund management.The innovation of this thesis includes:After analyzing the drawback of original logistics management system,the new system bases on theory of pallet,use the material ration management,wireless technology,scanning technique and vendor-cooperation mechanism to realize the effective,rational internal and external paint logistics mode.By using the use case analysis,divide functional module,E-R diagram design,data flow analysis,corn-code definition and database design to implement the new painting logistics management system.After the new system has gone live,the painting supply plan become more accurate,the overstocking problem has been worked out.The consumption of painting material is showing a downward trend.By wireless and Scanning Technology,the in-stock and issue become more effective.The fund management is more standardized that has greatly reduced the cost of logistics and fund management.
