With the continuous optimization of China's energy structure and the rising proportion of clean energy such as the natural gas,the requirement for intelligent gas meters is constantly increasing.Based on the Internet of Things,big data analysis,intelligent control and many other technologies,the wireless gas meter reading technology brings some advanced management modes to gas companies,to improve the efficiency of meter reading,reduce operating costs,and make better user experience.Due to the explosion-proof requirement of the gas industry,gas meters are usually powered by batteries.How to effectively reduce the energy consumption of gas meters has become one of the hotspots in the research of wireless gas meter reading system.The current research of energy-efficient routing,Internet of Things technology,wireless sensor networks and wireless meter reading technology has been reviewed in this thesis.Based on the characteristics of wireless gas meter reading systems,such as the energy sensitivity and the node isomorphism,the energy consumption and the load balancing of wireless meter reading networks are optimized by improving wireless meter reading network routing,improving the single communication success rate in harsh environments and reducing the energy consumption of the wireless meter reading process.The main work has been completed in this thesis as follow:1.Firstly,the method based on network routing layer has been proposed,to optimize the energy consumption of wireless meter reading networks.At the same time,the wireless sensor network routing protocol architecture are introduced.Then the process of the clustering routing protocol is analyzed.Finally,based on the network feature,some typical kinds of clustering routing protocol are introduced and compared with each other.2.In order to analyze the relationship between the number of clusters in the clustering network and the network energy consumption,a wireless communication model based on the wireless gas meter reading system is established,and then the composition of the network energy consumption is quantitatively analyzed.According to the character of the wireless gas meter reading network,the correlation between the number of cluster heads and other parameters of the network has been determined.3.Aiming at the problems existing in the current clustering protocol,a multi-parameter weighted energy-efficient routing algorithm LEACH-ES(LEACH-Energy Sensitive)is proposed in this thesis.The clustering factor affecting the network energy consumption was analyzed,and a function of corresponding cluster head selecting is proposed.Finally,the optimal weight coefficient is determined by analyzing the FND,HND and the network residual energy.4.At last,the result of simulation and application verified the availability of the above analysis of the LEACH-ES proposed.Compared with LEACH and EACHP,the network life cycle and the amount of the network packet transmission in validity period are both analyzed.It is summarized that the LEACH-ES could extend the network life cycle and increase the amount of the network data transmission compared with the traditional LEACH and EACHP.Through the actual networking experiment of the LEACH-ES protocol proposed,the result showed that the energy consumption of the wireless meter reading network using the LEACH-ES protocol could be reduced by 8%.
