With the implementation of "The Belt And Road" and "The Yangtze River Economic Zone" strategy,inland transport has become an important part of the development of the comprehensive transport system of the Yangtze River Economic Zone.Container transportation,as an important way of waterway transportation in Yangtze River trunk line,its throughput directly reflects the development of waterway transportation.In the environment of constantly changing container transportation demand and increasingly fierce market competition,shipping companies should not only pay attention to the cost of transportation,but also pay attention to the comprehensive utilization rate of the shipping input capacity to reduce the input capacity and reduce the total cost of transportation,make scientific and reasonable scheduling decisions and enhance their competitiveness.The trunk line of the Yangtze River can be regarded as a linear channel.The transportation tasks in the upstream are mostly in small batches,while those in the downstream are mainly in large batches.Due to the restriction of channel and other factors,it is difficult for the same container ship to meet the demand of complex transportation tasks,and it is easy to cause the waste of transportation capacity.So the advantages of transshipment and real-time scheduling operation are highlighted to reduce comprehensive utilization rate.This paper considered the ship-scheduling problem in which ship allocation,port selection and freight assignment were considered simultaneously.A two-stage nonlinear programming model aiming at minimum total transportation cost was established in consideration of transshipment.A virtual port method is designed to solve the real-time scheduling of container ships.In view of the characteristics of the model,an Improved Genetic Algorithm(IGA)was designed to solve the problem and the optimal solution was carried out based on the real case.The optimal solutions of different cases were compared with those without transshipment and real-time scheduling.Experimental results showed that the ship scheduling with transshipment and real-time scheduling could reduce total transportation costs,improve the comprehensive utilization of ships,strengthen the competitiveness and provide a reference for shipping companies in ship scheduling.
