From Modular System To Modularization

Building modulus is an important attribute in architectural design.From the relation of modulus,we can find out the composition of architecture and the philosophy behind it.Different from other architectural forms,the role of modulus in traditional Chinese wood architecture is not only the control of the architectural appearance,but also the important basis for the combination of wood components into architecture.Through the interpretation of modulus-digital relationship,it is helpful to analyze the structure of wood structure and understand its causes.Nowadays,with the rapid development of industrialization,information and integration,the traditional architectural construction model obviously can not meet the needs of contemporary construction.But this does not mean that the ancient wisdom behind the traditional architectural forms is also eliminated.Based on the analysis of the modulus system in the construction technique of Xiangshan help wood structure,this paper explores the logical causes behind the modulus relationship of traditional architecture and its green wisdom.And on this basis,to explore the wisdom of the traditional construction of contemporary construction model enlightenment.The word "modulus",which emphasizes the relationship between numbers,reflects a linear,univariate,simple logical relationship in the schema.The word"module" emphasizes the relation of body mass and reflects the complex logical relation of block and multivariate in the schema.When the content of the system of a thing increases gradually,the simple expression of "number" can no longer reflect its characteristics completely,then the appearance of "body" can be regarded as a new component unit.By analyzing and combing the module and module of wood structure,this paper attempts to reawaken the value of green wisdom in the traditional building technique of Xiangshan Gang by means of the contemporary modularization strategy.Analysis and analysis of this paper The strategy is helpful for architects to understand the technical causes behind the form-generating mechanism,thus enlightening the design strategy of contemporary architecture.
