| In recent years,BIM has developed rapidly as a new technology in the construction industry.The emergence of BIM has generated several BIM jobs.The lack of BIM talents seriously affects the application of BIM technology.However,despite of the opinions by BIM experts,questions regarding BIM jobs and their competencies still have no clear solution.This paper addresses this question by collecting 316 online job postings with Crawler technology,analyzing these 316 job postings and they were classified into three complementary tiers:core,domain and execution,which have 12 competence sets and 37 competency topics.Based on the findings,different suggestions for different departments are given.According to the different Trainees,the training composition is divided into three types: universities,enterprises and third-party institutions.For education,strengthen school-enterprise cooperation,strengthen practical application skills,Conduct BIM certification courses;For industry,establishment of a scientific training system for enterprises,adopt a hybrid training method and rapidly cultivate their own BIM talents;For third-party institutions,fully integrate industry resources,establish a scientific curriculum system,industry talent evaluation system and finally qualification certification.Through the joint efforts of all the three departments,not only the quality and quantity of BIM talents will be improved but also the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry will happen rapidly. |
