With the increasingly fierce product homogeneity competition,the continuous change of customer demand and the rise of service economy,the profit space of traditional manufacturing enterprises which follow the product leading logic is constantly squeezed.In order to seek a new value growth point,the development mode of manufacturing enterprises needs to be deeply changed.As a brand-new and important source of profit,service innovation is becoming the guiding principle and direction of global manufacturing industry transformation and upgrading.Many well-known manufacturing enterprises at home and abroad,such as Xerox,IBM,Haier,Huawei and Shangu,have successfully achieved transformation and upgrading through service innovation.However,the existing theoretical research and practical experience all show that some manufacturing enterprises have not achieved the expected benefits in the implementation process of service innovation,and even service innovation has a restraining effect on enterprise performance.There is a "service paradox" phenomenon that service benefits fail to make up for service input.The reason for this situation may be related to the lack of dynamic capability of enterprises.Although the existing research has recognized the importance of dynamic capability to service innovation of manufacturing enterprises,few studies have focused on the specific composition and micro basis of dynamic capability in the context of service innovation,and the research on the internal mechanism of dynamic capability to service innovation performance of manufacturing enterprises is even less.In this context,based on combing the relevant theoretical basis and existing literature,this study selects two typical manufacturing enterprises,Haier and Huawei,to conduct exploratory longitudinal case study.Firstly,this study clarifies the connotation,dimension and micro mechanism of dynamic capabilities in the context of service innovation of manufacturing enterprises.Secondly,this study shows the role of organizational learning in building dynamic capabilities,at the same time,this study analysis that when dynamic capability and service innovation strategy match,it will promote financial performance and competitive advantage of service innovation.Finally,the theoretical model of organizational learning-dynamic capability-service innovation strategy-performance of service innovation is further refined,thus revealing the generation logic,evolution process of the dynamic capability of service innovation in manufacturing enterprises and the mechanism of its impact on the performance of service innovation.The results of the case study show that:(1)Organizational learning is the logical starting point of dynamic capability construction and evolution.In the context of service innovation,organizational learning in manufacturing enterprises includes two modes: exploitative learning and exploring learning.Manufacturing enterprises build dynamic capabilities based on organizational learning.(2)The dynamic capabilities supporting service innovation are essentially a combination of capabilities,including environmental perception capability,resource grabbing capability and resource reconstruction capability.(3)The dynamic capability required by service innovation is not static,and each capability dimension will evolve and adjust spontaneously with the change of internal and external environment.With the advancement of the depth and breadth of service innovation,dynamic capability evolves from low level to medium level and then to high level.In the process of continuous evolution from low level to high level,the overall level of capability is gradually rising.(4)When the dynamic capabilities of manufacturing enterprises match the service innovation strategy,it is conducive to the improvement of service innovation performance.
