| Under the background of the opening of the two-child policy and the gradual implementation of the construction of a child-friendly city,the needs and rights of children groups have been paid more and more attention.In recent years,a number of cities including Hangzhou,Changsha,Shenzhen and other cities have successively issued policies about transform into child-friendly cities,consider the elevation of society’s awareness of child-friendly and the active promotion of respect for children as an important link in urban construction.Among the scenes of children’s integration into the urban environment,the contradiction of school-transportation is the most common and prominent.In today’s society where motor vehicle travel is very common,it not only affects the physical and mental health of every child and the quality of life of every family,but also relates to urban transportation and social livelihood.It has become an urgent problem to be solved in the current domestic urban construction.Based on the current problems of children’s school-transportation in China’s urban development,evidence-based urban space environment optimization design countermeasures to promote active school transportation can improve this problem.The main place where children’s general school-transportation takes place is the city streets within the school-transportation path.Although there are many domestic and foreign research results that provide evidence for urban environmental factors to interfere with children’s school-transportation travel choices,the research results on influencing factors of city streets have not yet formed a systematic design system and strategy.Based on the analysis of basic concepts,this paper summarizes the elements of urban environmental design into four levels: spatial function,traffic structure,supporting facilities and environmental design.Through social questionnaires and interviews,the existing problems in the path of general education are clarified,taking the characteristics of children’s school-transportation behavior and the needs of both parents and children as guidance.Through literature research and theoretical integration,a conceptual model of "children’s vitality general intervention factors" is formed,which draws on foreign theoretical achievements and is rooted in China’s national conditions.Based on this model,combined with the design experience and methods in successful practice projects,and the design strategies for improving street environment are put forward,which respectively correspond to the following four directions: systematization of path traffic structure,classification of field space function,combination of path supporting facilities and detailed design of street environment,providing guidanceand reference for future urban street environment construction in China to promote children’s vitality and general learning. |
