As China's urbanization process speeds up,urban planning gradually turns to the development mode of stock renewal, and urban development faces a shortage of land resources and limited public service resources.Especially in the context of the accelerating speed of aging, the contradiction between the elderly's increasing need for old-age care and the quality of public service of the traditional living environment is becoming more prominent. To cope with this situation,China is advancing the renewal of old urban communities and the community-homebased elderly service system. On the other hand, under the advocacy of the people-oriented planning concept, the community life circle emerges as a planning tool for living space governance and public service facilities allocation, because of actually reflecting the characteristics of residents' living spaces from the perspective of residents. Therefore, this paper focuses on how to apply the concept of community life circle, evaluate and optimize the layout of public service facilities from the perspective of the use of the elderly,in order to achieve the local elderly care in communities and help them pursue a better life. This paper takes Yuexiu District of Guangzhou as an example to studies the elderly friendliness evaluation system of public service facilities layout in the community life circle.Firstly,it sorts out the concepts of the elderly friendliness of public service facilities layout and life circle and related theories and research. Then it analyzes the relationship between the elderly and community public service facilities from the perspective of needs, and summarizes the life circle system of the elderly, forming the theoretical research basis of this paper.Secondly, considering the characteristics of the elderly's facility use, this paper constructs the elderly friendliness evaluation system of public service facilities layout from the two dimensions of efficiency and fairness, and conducts an in-depth evaluation and analysis of the elderly friendliness of the facility layout in Yuexiu District. The results indicate that in Yuexiu District, public service facilities layout is insufficient, such as low density of frequently used facilities, large gaps in elderly service facilities, poor accessibility to cultural and sports facilities, public parks, and street-level facilities. And the spatial distribution is quite different with a relatively unfair layout. Finally, relying on the stock construction,it constructs an elderly friendly community life circle public service facility layout system in Yuexiu District, and based on the evaluation of elderly friendliness of facilities layout in each community life circle, puts forward differentiated optimization strategies for the community life circle. In the construction of the elderly friendliness evaluation system of public service facilities layout, this paper adopts spatiotemporal data with fine granularity, such as resident population data identified by Baidu Huiyan, residential land data, and facility data extracted from the big data service platform. It studies the supply-demand matching relationship between public service facilities and users from the two dimensions of efficiency and fairness,in order to comprehensively and accurately evaluate the elderly friendliness of the facility layout, and forms an expandable quantitative evaluation model of the facility layout. In the meanwhile, this paper takes Yuexiu District as an example to explore the construction method of the community life circle system and use it as a basis to carry out research on the optimization of facility layout, making certain reference value for the future facility layout planning of Yuexiu District and the implementation path of the community life circle planning of the old city.
