Research On The Design Approach Of Urban Waterfront Spatial Vitality

As the land and water connection area,the urban waterfront space is the most basic structural unit of the city.It has both natural characteristics and artificially adjusted attributes which plays an important landscape value in the urban environment.Many life activities such as people’s life,trade,and recreation revolve around the waterfront space.At the same time,it also serves as the core space of the city to gather people and gather popularity.However,due to the accelerated development of urbanization and industrialization,a series of ecological and environmental risks such as water pollution,soil pollution,and air pollution have affected the originally popular waterfront space,making it facing imminent crises and challenges,which ultimately leads the waterfront space gradually failing to meet the various needs of people for high quality water environment in life and production.Therefore,re-evoking the vitality of urban waterfront space,reshaping the image of the city,and then simultaneous rising the city’s soft and hard power have become a focus issue that is getting more and more attention.At the same time,how to create urban waterfront spaces with public vitality has a profound long-term impact and important practical significance for the study of landscape design.This article takes the promotion of the vitality of waterfront public spaces as the fundamental point,exploring how to design urban waterfront spaces that can better meet the needs of modern urban development and residents,and conducts empirical research on the Jinquan River in Zhaoyuan,Shandong.First,the development situation and future trendency of urban waterfront space are clarified and reasonably summarized,and the conceptual attributes of urban waterfront space and its vitality are defined.On this basis,the relevant cases and theoretical studies on the improvement of urban waterfront vitality at home and abroad are sorted out,and the main reasons and influencing factors of the lack ofurban waterfront vitality in China are explored by drawing on the successful experience of other cases.Furthermore,from the four dimensions of ecological vitality,social vitality,cultural vitality and economic vitality,the four strategies and eight principles of the design of urban waterfront space vitality are summarized,and the merits of domestic and foreign excellent cases are combined with the landscape design of Jinquan River which conduct the argument.Finally,complete the specific operation of the transition from the theoretical method to the actual plan in the landscape design of the Jinquan River in Zhaoyuan,Shandong.The residents and tourists on both sides of the Jinquan River are shown the vitality and energy of the urban waterfront space,thereby enhancing the overall environment.quality and overall image of the city.
