There are 620,000 disabled people in Beijing, accounting for about 4.4% of the city 's total population;in addition,it is expected that by 2050,the number of elderly people in Beijing will reach one-third of the total population. So far,the infrastructure construction in Beijing has been basically completed, but the construction of barrierfree facilities has not yet been perfected. As the capital of Poland in Eastern Europe,Warsaw has basically reached a stable state of economic development and infrastructure construction. In particular, the restoration of the city after World War II made the construction of its public facilities more modern and humanized. Therefore, the investigation and research of barrier-free facilities in public buildings in Warsaw will have certain reference value and reference significance for the construction of barrier-free environment in my country. This article selects four commercial buildings in Beijing, one traffic building and three commercial buildings in Warsaw and one traffic building as survey objects.Based on field investigation, the entrances, public toilets, passages and elevators, sign systems, and low-level commercial buildings Barrier-free facilities such as entrances and exits, ticket purchasing windows and passages, elevators, toilets, and signage systems were investigated for service facilities and transportation buildings. The behavioral lines of wheelchair users and strollers in the two types of buildings were tracked, observed and investigated to understand the behavior characteristics and needs of vulnerable groups in the use of commercial buildings and traffic buildings. On the basis of comparative analysis of the current situation of barrier-free facilities in commercial buildings and transportation buildings in Beijing and Warsaw,as well as the summary of the problem points and lessons for reference, the design recommendations for barrier-free facilities are proposed in order to provide barrierfree facilities for urban public buildings in the future Provide reference for construction. The main research conclusions and design suggestions of the paper are as follows: For commercial buildings,(1)barrier-free entrances and exits should be dispersed and the entrance doors should be set as automatic doors;(2)barrier-free elevators should be installed near the atrium in combination with commercial building passages;(3)The toilet and toilet seats should be designed differently according to the needs of different groups of people;(4)The logo system should be designed with patterns, arrows and text on the guide signs, and different functions should be distinguished using different colors.Suggestions for traffic buildings(1)Barrier-free passages should be set up in security passages for barrier-free entrances and exits;(2)Barrier-free elevators should be set up near entrances or replaced with escalators by moving walkways;(3)Seats in the waiting hall should be set up open Type seats;(4)Public toilets should be provided with luggage storage space and the internal wash basin of the barrier-free toilets should be arranged diagonally with the toilet;(5)The barrier-free signs should be set according to the distance and near-sight distance of the far sight distance and should be set Make a color difference.
