China is the largest production base of domestic appliance in the world.Domestic appliances mainly include air conditioners,refrigerators,and washing-machines and so on.The demand of these three kinds of products is large.The assembly line of these products represents the ability level of domestic appliances manufacturing industry.The development of China’s manufacturing industry is facing multiple pressures: the domestic appliance assembly line is a human-intensive mode of operation,the costs of internal human and operational is continuing to rise;assembly line is highly dependent on skilled and old employees,but the staff turnover rate is also high;under the influence of the China-US trade war,export trade is declining;traditional manufacturing faces low-cost competition fro m Southeast Asia and emerging economies,high-level manufacturing needs to withstand the impact of developed countries.For this reason,we combine M company’s washing machine assembly line to improve the efficiency of application research,improve the enterprise’s production efficiency and management abilit y under the environment of high labor costs,high staff turnover rate,diversified demand,high quality requirements and weak external market growth,and promote the competitiveness of enterprises.In this thesis,the overall production efficiency is systematically analyzed and studied through the man-hour structure model,explore the factors affecting efficiency and find out the methods to solve the problems,verify the effectiveness of the method after improvement.The current production efficiency situation is mainly evaluated and analyzed from five parts: planned loss time,utilization loss time,balanced loss time,operation loss time and value operation time.It is found that the main factors affecting the production efficiency of M company’s assembly line are the balance loss time and utilization loss time.The utilization loss time is mainly manifested in many problems such as lack of materials,long time of line change,frequent equipment failure and so on.Making overall improvement plan for main problems and comprehensively evaluating and deriving implementation plan.Establish an improved organization and management system.In the implementation phase,the methods such as line balance improvement,rapid line change,special line production,material pull distribution,standard operation improvement,equipment maintenance,equipment failure improvement,and employee performance management should be applied for targeted improvement.After the implementation of the plan,the overall assembly line replacement time,equipment failure time,line balancing loss time have been greatly reduced,the production efficiency and unit per person per hour have been improved by more than 25%.Good improvement results have been achieved,and the expected goals have been achieved.It has been verified that the man-hour structure model can guide the improvement of production efficiency and reached the experience method to improve the efficiency of washing machine assembly line.
