Residential buildings are one of the types of buildings that are more closely connected with people. With the development of the times, people's quality of life has continued to improve, and the demands for housing have not satisfied the basic needs of survival.thought of.However, compared to other developed countries, the domestic theoretical research and practice of healthy housing started late. The development of healthy housing has stagnated at the conceptual stage, and the existing relevant indicators do not have regional characteristics. The cold climate conditions are relatively special and extreme, more specifically targeted research is needed. This article first clarifies the concepts of healthy housing and cold cities, and conducts related theoretical research, including residence studies, microclimate environmental theory, and environmental psychology.Combined with background knowledge, the specific impact of cold climate on healthy housing was clarified through field investigations.Based on evaluation criteria and design principles, this article explains the specific design methods adapted to the cold climate from the aspects of individual design and environmental design outside the residence. In the aspect of individual design, the special environment of the cold climate is analyzed from three aspects: nesting design, main space design, and environmental detail design, and corresponding design strategies are proposed. In terms of external environment design,we analyzed and optimized the layout design of the group, road design, landscape design, and leisure activity venue design, and proposed corresponding design strategies to meet the needs of residents' physical health, mental health, and health promotion.By summarizing the impact of the cold climate, the characteristics of healthy houses, and the health needs of the residents, this paper strives to explore building design strategies that adapt to the cold climate.Based on the theoretical results of related disciplines and simulation analysis of examples, from the perspective of people's needs for living health,a systematic design method and corresponding design strategies for the external environment and individual design of cold residential areas are summarized. It is hoped that this research can provide useful reference for related theoretical research and practical projects in the future.
