A Study Of The Planning And Designing Of External Environment Of Urban Housing In Severe Cold Area Of Xinjiang

With the implementation of Western Development Strategyand Xinjiang SupportPackage, urban housing construction in Xinjianghas undergone enormous changes. Andthe external environment of urban housingis drawing more and moreattention of thepublic.Confronting the cultural convergence caused by globalization, the constructionindustry needs to put emphasis on how to design a living environment with lowenergyconsumption, regional climateandcultural characteristics respect, health and harmony,and city features.However, for economic reasons, the external environment of urban housing insevere cold area of Xinjiang hasn’t formed a complete system compatible with theresidential development, either in terms of planning concept or in terms of designingmethods. And the low temperature during winter in Xinjiang, as well as the poor airquality largely reduces the outdoor time of the residents, which brings an adverseimpact on the physical and mental health of them. All the factors leadtothemigrationofthe urban people in cold area andbrain drain problem. Now everywinter, there are large numbers of local residents travel toHainanto avoidthe extremelycold weather.In order to improve the uneven quality of the external environment of urbanhousing in severe cold area of Xinjiang, and bring the overall designing capability to ahigher level, surveys in10residential district of Changji citiesare taken asexamples inthis thesis.First, the surveys aim to acknowledge actual problem encountered in the process of using every system of external environment, and by analyzing residents’demand,summarize planning and designing methods of external environment. Then, bytaking World Garden and Grand HyattBegonia as two typicalengineering examples,the thesis analyze practical planninganddesigning experience in external environmentinsevere cold areasofXinjiang.At last, the thesis discussestherelationshipbetween theplanning and designing method, and themainfactorsaffectingthe external environment ofurban housing in severe cold area of Xinjiang.Above all, designing externalenvironment of urban housing shall follow principles summarized as follows:1. People orientation;2. Regional climateandnative cultural characteristics reflection;3. Ecologicaland economicplanning;4. Buildingclimateprotection,road safetyand parking design;5. Climatic site design. Winter landscape designing.Four principles listed above can be taken as a reference,so astoimprovetheplanning and designing level of external environment in severe cold areasin Xinjiang.
