The supply side reform of national energy has caused a certain impact to the power industry,as well as the electric power construction industry,one of the main participants in the electric power engineering market.Suffering from policies and rising costs of external raw material,power construction enterprises confront a severe text for their profit margin.Cost management as an important part of project management in electric power construction enterprises,can effectively reduce construction cost which can indirectly influence the profit.The following explains four problems of cost management,summarized based on previous studies,in electric power construction enterprises.First,cost targets failed to be classified into detailed ones.Second,traditional cost management method,lacked a process of dynamic and real-time analysis.Third,the comparison of overall construction costs of the project showed a large deviation.Fourth,advanced management technology methods were insufficient as a result of too much reliance on working experience.Based on the above problems,from the perspective of construction enterprises,the method of combining theory with practice was adopted.BIM(Building Information Modeling)technology was combined with traditional cost management theory,seeking for new ways to reduce costs.Also,it involved BIM technology with the target cost theory with the purpose to refine and decompose cost targets,so as to reduce the control scope and improve the control accuracy.The dynamic control of the target was realized by combining BIM technology and dynamic control theory.When BIM technology,combining with earned value theory,was adopted in the research,it was found that the cost deviation in the management process can be analyzed in real time.Taking the D project as an example,its first phase,adopting the traditional approach,had been analyzed for the existing cost management problems.In the second phase,the application of BIM technology was to ameliorate these problems.With the unit construction cost as a comparing object,it came out a conclusion that the cost management based on BIM technology can help reduce costs from different processes including bidding,construction and clearing,keeping the unit cost reduction at a rate of around 10%,and the overall construction cost therefore decreased about 370,000.In conclusion,the introduction of BIM technology for cost management into power engineering projects is significant not only for it refines and improves the cost management of companies,but also for its guidance for increasing the economic benefits.Figure16;Table15;Reference 51...
