The highway construction project has long route and large capital investment. In order to control investment scientifically, regularly and rationally,it is very important to choose an economical and reasonable optimization route.According to the optimization problem of different route schemes, different economic evaluation is brought, and then the optimal route is selected by discussion, calculation and verification. In general, the basis of economic evaluation is to judge the practicability of projects.Indicators include: net present value(NPV),internal rate of return(IRR),cost-benefit ratio(BCR)and payback period(N).And the evaluation index is applied to the scheme comparison. This article adopts the method of simplified calculation,in the national economic evaluation for project of different line a poor incremental value and benefits of incremental calculation, also only in financial evaluation of the different line increment difference and benefit increment calculation to discuss,to determine the necessity of at the beginning of the highway project alternative scheme, for the economic evaluation of highway laid the foundation. The evaluation system of expressway construction project is put forward and established.Taking the economic evaluation of the second-phase project of the East extension of Taijin Expressway as an example, the economic cost-benefit analysis and financial analysis are carried out by using the method of "incremental calculation" through the optimal selection of different alignments. For different economic and financial NPV increments of different schemes, the scheme with smaller difference is finally recommended as the optimal scheme.
