As the social development enters a new era,the education field of our country is also confronted with new requirements and challenges.Meanwhile,due to great adjustments and transformation in economic and industrial structure of the whole country,the social demands for professional and technical talents have undergone tremendous changes as well.Currently,the vocational education system in China mainly contains two levels,secondary vocational education and higher vocational education.Sharing the same nature,these two levels of vocational education undertake the important educational mission of providing professional and technical talents for various fields in China.Seeing from an overall perspective,the demands for skilled talents in professional quality and structural levels of knowledge and culture continues to grow in the innovative development process of all trades and professions.Therefore,more and more secondary vocational graduates tend to enter higher vocational schools and continue learning.So how to ensure the articulation between these two stages,especially the curriculum articulation,has become a problem to be solved in vocational education.This paper has comprehensively adopted a series of methods to study the curriculum articulation between secondary vocational education and higher vocational education.Firstly,by means of literature research method,all relevant literature and research results are collected to have a comprehensive understanding of the current situation,innovation mode and effective measures concerning the curriculum articulation between secondary vocational education and higher vocational education.Secondly,the survey research is adopted so as to carry out a planned,systematic and purposeful investigation on the topic.Mainly in form of questionnaire survey and combined with interviews,the author makes a comprehensive analysis and demonstration based on the survey results of curriculum articulation in secondary and higher vocational education.Lastly,the paper adopts case study method.Taking the secondary and higher vocational curriculum articulation of automotive application and maintenance specialty in XX Vocational Institute as the main research object,the paper combines with the professional practice and curriculum characteristics,conducted the in-depth research upon the curriculum articulation between secondary vocational education and higher vocational education,and puts forward scientific,reasonable and practical suggestions which can be implemented concretely.This paper first makes a brief introduction to the overall development situation of secondary vocational education and higher vocational education.Then,the paper makes an in-depth analysis upon the theoretical bases of “lifelong education”,“cognitive psychology”,“structural curriculum” and “talent structure” to which the curriculum articulation between secondary vocational education and higher vocational education would take reference,and explores its internal connection with the curriculum articulation of secondary and higher vocational education.Next,through comprehensive investigation of current situation of the secondary and higher vocational curriculum articulation of automotive application and maintenance profession at school as well as relevant data collection,the paper analyzes and compares the logical relationship between curriculums of secondary vocational education and higher vocational education in the field of profession.Fourthly,in view of the results from investigations and analyses above,this paper combs the existing problems in the articulation of automotive application and maintenance secondary and higher vocational professional curriculum and separately listed as follows: I.Differentiation of curriculum object is not obvious;II.The contents of curriculums are much repetitive;III.The criteria for curriculums are not uniform;IV.Comments for curriculums tend to be single.On this basis,the reasons for causing problems are analyzed: I.There are deviations in the cognition of secondary and higher vocational education;II.Teachers are ambiguous about objects of secondary and higher vocational curriculums;III.Diversity of student sources in higher vocational colleges.Lastly,based on problem orientation,this paper makes researches upon basic principles,detailed strategies and proposals related to higher vocational curriculum articulation construction within the professional field and puts forward following suggestions: I.Set reasonable talent cultivation targets and increase the object differentiation of different curriculums;II Optimize teaching contents and reduce repetitive parts;III.Establish a coherent and multi-channel curriculum evaluation system;IV.Perfect the management system and escalate the articulation degree between secondary vocational curriculums and higher vocational curriculums.
