With the development of social economy,people's requirements for living environment are constantly increasing,more and more attentions are paid to details in real estate project development,all of these arouse the increasing demand for garden landscape and its professional project management.While in the development of real estate projects,the importance of landscape and the need for specialization of landscape project management are increasing.The garden landscape engineering project,with the advantage of high input-output ratio,can obviously improve the project presentation effect and also leads to the brand promotion.However,several factors make it difficult to accomplish,such as a wide range construction site,multi-participants,tight schedule,temporary changes and a low plant survival rate.So garden landscape engineering project,especially the progress management of it,becomes extremely important.Based on the theories and references relevant to project management,project progress management and stakeholder management,this paper tries to find out the general process of project progress management,and to analyze the cause of formation and impacts of the key tasks inside a project,in order to put forward specific solutions.Taking the 6C garden landscape engineering project as a case,the project management tools such as WBS,Gantt chart method,milestone method,network chart method,and earned value method are used to complete scheduling and progress control.During the research on the progress control of the 6C garden landscape engineering project,the author collect kinds of documents,which includes the preliminary design drawing review records of the project,the construction unit inspection report,on-site exploration data,the general contractor of the building construction and other professional subcontractors,and related projects were collected.Inspection report,construction organization design and special construction plan of construction unit,information on site technical changes,economic and technical visas,safety and civilization and quality standards training materials,overall project progress plan,project schedule,weekly(monthly)schedule,progress payment voucher,project image progress.The author analyzed and sorted out these documents to clarify the organizational structure of the project and related management objectives.During the research on the progress management of 6C garden landscape engineering projects,the author found that several elements are imperative to achieve an excellent progress management.The first thing is to strengthen the comprehensive management of construction personnel,construction materials,construction methods,and on-site environment.Second,we must use project management related theories to guide us to make a scientific and systematic time schedule,and keep adjusting it according to feedbacks.Third,it is necessary to strengthen the management of the project stakeholders,ensure the smooth communication channels of the project,and make good use of the information platform to increase the efficiency of management.Last but not least,collection and management of documents needs to be emphasized,because the progress documents are important basis for progress control,we can also provide reference for other similar projects by analyzing documents to reproduce the project management process.
