EPC(Engineering Procurement Construction)Engineering general contracting mode is the main common international Engineering market project general contracting mode,in recent years,cause the government vigorously promote leading in the domestic Construction market.As the government gradually increases its efforts in implementing the EPC general contracting mode,more and more projects adopt this mode in the construction market.In order to adapt to the market changes,the general contracting enterprises are also strengthening their general contracting capacity.How traditional construction enterprises combine construction and design organically with their own advantages should become an important research topic in the general contracting enterprises of various projects.The management level of construction enterprises directly determines whether the construction-led EPC project can be effectively implemented.Because traditional domestic construction market,construction companies and design companies long-term fragmented,construction enterprises only need to according to the figure construction,influence on design basic is zero,so that the traditional construction enterprise in EPC project management,design of the relative lack of management ability,organic combination of the construction and design cannot be deviated from the intention of the general contractor.Therefore,if construction enterprises want to improve their management level and give full play to the advantages of EPC project general contracting mode,they must strengthen the design management level.At present,there is not much research on how to establish a design management system for construction units and design management methods with strong operability of EPC projects in China,and insufficient support for improving the management level of construction enterprises.Therefore,it is necessary to strengthen the research on the construction of the design management system for construction enterprises and how to effectively design and manage the EPC project led by construction enterprises,so as to provide reference for construction enterprises to make up for the shortcomings of the design management level.This paper discusses some research results of EPC project management at home and abroad,and summarizes the EPC general contracting management mode,analyzes the status quo and existing problems of EPC project management led by construction,and concludes the importance of design management system construction for construction enterprises,as well as the construction ideas of design management system for construction enterprises.The practical design management experience of a bureau in a construction enterprise was summarized,and the design management system of the general contractor and the management responsibilities of the design management personnel were elaborated.The top of the research is mainly focused on the design of construction enterprise management architecture design and three levels of design management system from the bureau to project construction,and combed the bidding stage,stage of project design,project preliminary design,shop drawing design and design stage of the process and the key of design management,clarify the three levels of design management in various stages of the design management department’s main job.This paper also focuses on the organizational structure of EPC project general contracting,this paper expounds the project design management department management objectives,and analyzes the main functions of the design department,from the design planning,design progress management,quality management,cost management,design management plan and other five aspects this paper expounds the main work of the project design management.Finally by the specific project design management,case demonstration prOJ ect design management results validate the importance of design management of EPC project management,construction enterprises to manage EPC project management system,set up their own design and work according to the set of features to distinguish the different design stages of the design management process and task,design management in the project implementation process and the traditional construction management work organic combination of interdependence can achieve better effect.
