Since 976 AD(the establishment of Yuelu Academy),Hunan University has a rich history and cultural foundation after a thousand years of precipitation.In terms of architecture,from the existing restoration of Yuelu Academy to the “early buildings of Hunan University”,it is a national key cultural relics protection unit,which was selected into China's 20 th century architectural heritage.Therefore,the follow-up educational architecture of Hunan University is also particularly important,based on the historical environment of Huda,the cultural heritage of the Millennium Lake,and the educational architecture of the new era.Therefore,the author's thesis lies in the study of the educational architecture of Hunan University after the 1980 s,trying to find the internal mechanism of the educational heritage of Hunan University,in order to explore the regionality and inheritance of educational buildings.Different from the existing research,this study focuses on the educational architecture and its cultural heritage of the Hunan University in the 1980 s,from the macro-social political and cultural background to the local culture of Hunan to the cultural connotation of Hunan University.Field research,surveying and mapping to collect first-hand information,on the other hand,the author interviewed several major architects of this period,and compiled their records on the design ideas and contextual cognition of Hunan University's educational buildings,as well as interviewing historical witnesses and The users of the building comprehensively interpret the educational buildings of Hunan University.This paper firstly clarifies the research object,scope and background.Then,it summarizes the development of Chinese higher education architecture,and the development and characteristics of Hunan University.Furthermore,the educational architecture itself and social and cultural background before Hunan University in the1980 s.A comprehensive exposition with the architects;followed by a focus on the typical educational architecture of Hunan University after the 1980s: from macro social backgrounds,school policies,to micro-architects' own experiences,design concepts,and the functions of the building itself,Forms,language and other aspects of analysis and research;Finally,analyze the analogy of the same architects in different periods,different architects of the same period,representatives of different architects in different periods,and study the educational buildings of Hunan University after the 1980 s at various levels.,and the internal mechanism of its heritage.In the aspect of architectural ontology research,the whole and individual analysis of the form,shape,function and concept of the building is carried out.Explore the form of the building's form and its functional flat organization,and obtain the public evaluation of the building by visiting the actual users of the building.Trying to find an educational architectural design strategy that is born in the local and draws on the local culture.In the aspect of architectural ideas,by studying the early experiences of architects Liu Shiying,Liu Dunzhen,Cai Zefeng and modern architects Wu Jiguang,Liu Su,Wei Chunyu,Yang Jianjue and other design ideas,revealing the relationship between architects and teachers,The unique cultural connotation of Hunan University is used to study the educational architecture of Hunan University after the 1980 s and the architects behind it.
