In today's society,with the rapid development of information and communication technology,informatization has been fully integrated into all aspects of our work,playing its full role for us all.In the process of the transformation from the traditional working style to informatization,we have constantly changed our thinking,introduced advanced information technology,and followed the traditional business mode whilst completing the transformation of informatization,so as to build an informatization system conforming to the business.The level of project management is the key factor that determines whether a construction project of the information system can be successfully completed.Project schedule management plays an essential role in the process of project management for it is necessary to guarantee the rapid,stable,effective and sustainable schedule of a project.A academy is the public institution affiliated to a ministry.With the development of business expanding,A academy has deepened its foreign exchange and cooperation.In response to the increasing number of the overseas visiting teams on business,as well as requirements for the examination and approval of foreign affairs,the Administrative Department of Business Abroad of A academy is in need of strengthening its management on overseas visiting teams on business,upgrade management modes,optimize the management flow and improve department work efficiency.Since traditional working modes have been unable to meet the needs of the related work,A academy decided to set up a management information system for overseas visiting teams on business,so as to conduct informatization management on the whole process of various related work of overseas visiting teams on business.A academy will include the overseas visiting team management system project into the key task of informatization.Due to the limited time and heavy tasks,research on project schedule management methods and theories should be conducted systematically,scientifically and accurately,in order to solve the problems of project schedule planning and optimization that may exist in the overseas visiting team management system and to ensure that the project can be completed within the expected duration.Based on the in-depth study on the project schedule management of the overseas visiting team management system project of Institute A,this paper develops the method of scientific project schedule management through the WBS task decomposition,the Gantt chart,the Critical Path Method,and the Program Evaluation and Review Technique,so as to break down and sort out project activities,estimate project schedule and make the project schedule plan,thus analyzing and solving related problems.In the process of project implementation,the project schedule will be managed and controlled to ensure that the project can be delivered within the expected duration by improving the project demand change,communication management and human resource security,with schedule control methods such as establishing project incentive systems.
