Liparis nervosa?Thunb.ex A.Murray?Lindl.is a member of Orchidaceae,genus Liparis.Orchidaceae is a huge family with almost 700genus and 20,000 species all over the world.Liparis contens 250 species and 52 of them spread in China.Liparis nervosa mainly distributed in undergrowth and shade of grass.The whole grass are used in traditional Chinese medicine.It has been reported in“Folk herbal medicine”that this herb has efficiency such as hemostasis,heat-clearing and detoxifying.The whole plant of L.nervosa was isolated and purified with chromatographic methods such as Sephadex LH-20,column chromatography of silica gel,MPLC,MCI gel,preparative TLC,and preparative HPLC,from the portions of petroleum ether,dichloromethane parts,and ethyl acetate.Their structures were identified by spectroscopic methods such as ESI-MS,1H-NMR,13C-NMR,DEPT,and 2D-NMR spectrum.24 compounds were isolated from L.nervosa,including 4alkaloids,4 benzoic acid derivatives,7 phenanthrenes,3 biphenanthrenes,1 bibenzyl and 5 others.Among the 24 compounds,LN-1,LN-2 were new alkaloids,15 compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time,and 11 compounds were isolated from this genus for the first time.20compounds isolated from this plant were evaluated for their ability on aggregation of rice platelets induced by thrombin and vitro prothrombin time.In the PT time test,negative control is heparin.And in the thrombin induced platelets aggregation test we use DMSO as blank control.Both of the results suggest phenanthrenes have a comparable ablility on inhibiting platets aggregation and lengthen the prothrombin time,which means phenanthrenes compounds may have ability on anticoagulation.Otherwise,we tested the effect on TNF-?induced NF-?B activity of isolated compounds.Biphenanthrenes showed strong inhibition on NF-?B activity.Biphenanthrenes also showed inhibition on NO production of LPS induced RAW264.7 cells.Antimicrobial activities were also tested and 11 strains were chosen to evaluate the performence of isolated compounds.Ciprofloxacin was used as a positive control.
