With the further expansion of international exchanges, the need for interpreting services is also growing.Consecutive interpreting,as an important mode of interpretations,is commonly used in large-scaled formal meetings.Because of its high accuracy,it is also the preferred mode for interpreting the high-level meeting of Heads of State.Factors affecting the quality of consecutive interpreting include interpreters' own factors as well as external factors.Interpreters' own factors are as follows: listening ability, bilingual proficiency,note-taking ability, logical thinking, and scope of knowledge.External factors involve content of speaker's speech, work intensity, excessive working hours, and speaker's accent and so on.However, the quality of interpreters is the most fundamental factor. This report aims to study and summarize the main problems the author encountered during the interpretation in the Northeast Asia Forum 2013.And with the consideration of the affecting factors of the interpreting, the author has made case studies and found out the possible solutions for these problems based on this practice. The report consists of five chapters: theory description, conference description, interpreting description, case study and conclusion. In this report, specific examples will be cited and analyzed, which may benefit for the future practices.
