The Counter-stereotype Have Effect On Stereotype Emotions

In recent years,the investigators used the implicit association test found that exposure to the counter-stereotype can reduce gender vocational stereotypes.And abroad studies have found that exposure to the counter-stereotype can also reduce the application of stereotype emotions.Even,the counter-stereotype can reduce the foreign group prejudice.And experience different emotions can also affect the relationship between the counter-stereotype and stereotype emotions.But,the research that our country current directly to discuss the counter-stereotype and stereotype emotions effects is not too much.Our country the study on counter-stereotype mainly is gender career counter-stereotype,no studies to prove age career counter-stereotype whether or not can also reduce stereotypes,and age career counter-stereotype whether or not can also have effect on stereotype emotions.Therefore,this study on the basis of previous studies,from the behavior level further to explore gender career counter-stereotype have influence on stereotype emotions;at the same time,from the behavior level further to explore age career counter-stereotype have influence on stereotype emotions.Experiment one used E-prime program choose the age between 21 and 23 of 60 college students that grade three and grade four as the research object,discussing gender career counter-stereotype have influence on stereotype emotions.The results found that: gender career counter-stereotype compared to the stereotypes of gender stereotypes can provoke greater surprise;women career counter-stereotype compared to women career stereotypes can produce more stereotypes emotions;male stereotype career compared with male career counter-stereotype can produce more stereotypes emotions;women career counter-stereotype compared to male career counter-stereotype can produce more stereotypes emotions.Experiment two based on experiment one used E-prime program choose the age between 21 and 22 of 60 college students as the research object,discussing age career counter-stereotype have influence on stereotype emotions.The results found that: age career counter-stereotype compared to age career stereotypes can provoke greater surprise;age career counter-stereotype compared to age career stereotypes more unusual or unexpected;old age career counter-stereotype compared to old age career stereotypes can produce more stereotypes emotions,youth career stereotypes compared youth career counter-stereotype produce more stereotype emotions;and in the process of impression formation counter-stereotype than the more complex and difficult compared to stereotypes.
