The simulated interpreting practice report is based on the interpretative theory and delivered by President Trump on tax reform speech in Pennsylvania.Interpretative Theory is the world's first systematic interpretation theory and an important guiding theory in interpreting field.From the perspective of interpretation theory,the process of interpreting is not a simple process from the source language to the target language,but a dynamic process of understanding the source language and re-expressing the thought and then interpreting to the target language.The content of this task is from a speech by President Trump on tax reform in Pennsylvania.The proposal of this speech will not only help the simplification and optimization of tax in the United States,but also have an impact on the economies of other countries and the world.At the same time,it is also a very good material for practicing interpretation.In the process of simulating simultaneous interpretation,the author was well prepared,but also encountered many unexpected problems on the scene.For example,due to the lack of background knowledge,the speaker's statements could not be accurately explained,unknown proper nouns or polysemous words delayed interpretation and the difference in Chinese and English sentence structures was still an aspect that the author should practice more.According to the study and practice of the two years of graduate student and the accumulation of the author's daily practice,the author analyzed specific problems in the specific field and made the interpretation of English much closer to the Chinese language structure.In order to make the interpretation more fluently,the author divided clauses into short sentences and added some appropriate words or supplemented or corrected during the speaker's pause or the audience applause.This report is divided into four chapters.The first chapter describes the task of interpreting practice and briefly introduces the content,background and importance ofpractical interpreting report.The second chapter is an overview of the process,which briefly describes the interpretation preparation(such as the spokesman's background and his language characteristics,the preparation of background knowledge and the supplement of relevant proper nouns),the interpreting process and the evaluation after interpreting simulation.The third chapter is the analysis of this practice,which is briefly explained the interpretative theory,the problems encountered in the process of simultaneous interpretation and the use of prediction and correction,reformulation,time-difference-waiting process and other interpretation strategies and skills.The fourth chapter is conclusion,the summary of the whole practice,the experience and enlightenment gained in the process of interpretation,the existing problems,shortcomings and the suggestions for further study in the future.With the help of the practice of simulated simultaneous interpretation,the author hopes to have a better understanding of simultaneous interpretation process and accumulate experience in the study of interpretation strategies through the analysis of examples in the materials.The ability to solve problems and the combination of theory and practice can also be improved for the study and work in future.
