Objective: To investigate the mental health and interpersonal disturbance of freshmen in a medical school in Anhui Province and its influencing factors, and to analyze the effect of intervention through group music performance therapy on improving the mental health level of college students,to test its effectiveness and to provide reference for the mental health education of medical students.METHODS:Stratified cluster sampling was used to randomly select freshmen of a medical college in Anhui Province as their research subjects. The demographic data questionnaire,Psychological Symptom Checklist 90(SCL-90),and interpersonal relationship were used.Diagnostic scales, general self-efficacy scales, and social support rating scales were used to conduct questionnaire surveys on freshmen,800 questionnaires were distributed,750 questionnaires were retrieved, and 720 valid questionnaires were obtained. The mental health, interpersonal problems and the influencing factors of medical freshmen are analyzed. In the effective SCL-90 questionnaire,30 SCL-90 ≥160 newborns were randomly divided into 15 intervention groups and 15 routine groups as experimental groups for targeted group music therapy psychological intervention;the control group members Weekly general general group activities only, activity cycle is ten weeks.SCL-90,Interpersonal Relationships Comprehensive Diagnostic Scale,General Self-efficacy Scale, and Social Support Rating Scale were used to perform preand post-intervention measurements.Lateral and intra-group longitudinal comparisons were made between the experimental and control groups before and after intervention.,Analysis of intervention effects.Results:(1)In the current study of 720 freshmen’smental health data, the average score of mental health symptoms of freshmen was121.46±28.761,of which 641 were negative, accounting for 89.03% of the total. The positive number is 79,accounting for 10.97% of the total number.By comparing the correlation analysis of the influencing factors,it shows that there is a significant negative correlation between the college students’ mental health status and the place of origin,self-efficacy,objective support, subjective support, availability, and social support(r=-0.079,-0.269),-0.145,-0.184,-0.212,-0.112);There was a significant positive correlation with interpersonal relationships(r=0.691).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that total scores of interpersonal relationships and self-efficacy were total scores of SCL-90 predictors.(2)The total score of the interpersonal relationship scale was(6.79±4.927).There were 477(66.25%)who had no interpersonal problems,190(26.39%)were mild, and 53(7.36%)were serious. There was no significant difference in the scores of interpersonal relationships between college students and college students who had different genders, whether they were only children, single parents or not, whether they had received mental health training, and whether they had sought professional psychological help(P>0.05);The differences in scores were 7.09±4.970 and 6.18±4.789,respectively(P<0.05).The difference in scores of interpersonal relationships among college students with different levels of self-efficacy and social support was statistically significant(P<0.01).The correlation analysis and research results showed that there was a significant negative correlation between the total number of new interpersonal relationship and the self-efficacy,social support and its factors(r=-0.302,-0.182,-0.274,-0.263,-0.309,P< 0.01).The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that the prediction of interpersonal relationships, the origin, the sense of self-efficacy,subjective social support, and the degree of utilization of social support entered the regression equation, and the joint interpretation amount was 16.1%.After the intervention, the SCL-90 total score of the freshmen in the experimental group(173.73±5.230)was lower than before theintervention(142.47±8.935),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);after the intervention, the freshmen of the experimental group were freshmen. The interpersonal disturbances after intervention(14.93±1.944)was lower than before the intervention(19.20±2.242),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The SCL-90 and interpersonal problems were disturbed before and after the intervention of the freshmen in the experimental group. The scores of the total scores were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in social support and self-efficacy between the experimental group and the freshmen before and after the intervention(P>0.05).in conclusion:(1)The mental health status of freshmen in the medical school is not optimistic, and interpersonal problems and self-efficacy are important factors affecting their mental health.(2)The factors affecting the interpersonal relationship between medical students and interpersonal relationships are mainly students,self-efficacy,subjective social support, and utilization of social support.(3)The effect of group music performance therapy on improving mental health and interpersonal relationships is better than that of general group activities.
