With the rise of new media,in daily lives, the way of receiving information has changed dramatically. For Chinese learners, the ways of out-of-class Chinese contact are also more diversified. At the same time,out-of-class language contact plays an important role in the acquisition of the target language. To a certain extent,it can even make up for the shortcoming of regular class. This paper mainly conducts questionnaire surveys and case interviews on the status of out-of-class Chinese contact, which is of Korean middle school and senior Chinese learners, from three aspects:access to out-of-class Chinese contact, time for out-of-class Chinese contact,out-of-class Chinese communicative objects and the effects of out-of-class Chinese contact. After converting the sorted questionnaire results into data,SPSS(22.0)was used for statistical analysis. The main researching questions of this paper are as follows:The overall situation of out-of-class Chinese contact of South Korean middle and high level Chinese learners, the influence of context factors on the subject's out-of-class Chinese contact, and the influence of individual differences on the subject's out-of-class Chinese contact. The results of the survey show that:1)The overall situation of out-of-class Chinese contact among South Korean high-level Chinese learners is in the middle and lower levels.Overall, the subjects' access to out-of-class Chinese contact is single, and the frequency of using and learning Chinese through various channels is relatively low.According to statistics, they spend an average of less than two hours per week on out-of-class Chinese contact. In addition,on the one hand, interviewees often communicate with Chinese friends, classmates, and teachers in Chinese. On the other hand, they believe that the most helpful way to learn Chinese is through the using of Chinese-related audio and video materials;2)Context factors Affected subjects' exposure to out-of-class Chinese contact. In the target language context, the overall situation of learners' out-of-class Chinese contact is better than the learners in the non-target language context. The former's extracurricular Chinese contact status is generally at a medium level, and the latter's extracurricular Chinese contact status is generally at a mid-lower level; Some of the individual differences have an impact on the out-of-class Chinese contact of the participants, and different individual factors influence the different aspects of the out-of-class Chinese contact.Among them, there is a significant difference in the way and time of out-of-class Chinese contact between Chinese level and the family background. There is a significant difference in the way of out-of-class Chinese contact on gender, age, major, and student level.Based on the research results of this paper, feasibility suggestions are proposed from the perspectives of schools, teachers and learners. Finally,we pointed out the shortcomings of this study and looked forward to further research directions.
