With the rapid development of science and technology self-driving cars appear in the view of the public.The development of self-driving cars needs not only the support of technology but the restriction of relative laws.European countries are advanced in the deployment and legislation research of self-driving cars.The source text explores problems encountered in different jurisdictions and their corresponding strategies,which can be learned and referred to by our country on the legislation of self-driving cars.Translation Variation Theory was firstly put forward by authoritative scholar Professor Huang Zhonglian in his article Translation(Translation Variation)Theory in the end of last century and then improved it gradually.It is an applicative translation theory in modern times.Translation Variation Theory intends to apply supplement,deletion,edition,summarization,reduction,combination and remodeling and other measures to take in contents of the source text and make the translation text acceptable to readers.Under the guidance of Translation Variation Theory,the translator completed the translation task and acquired translation experience of such scientific texts.The report consists of four parts.The first chapter describes the background,origin of the source text and basic introduction of Translation Variation Theory.The second chapter is about the process of translation,including preparation before translation,works during translation and revision after translation.The third chapter contains specific examples and analyses under the guidance of Translation Variation.The fourth chapter is the conclusion of translation process,which includes weaknesses and disadvantages of the translator and the problems still remain to be solved.
