“Yü-yen Tz?-êrh Chi” was written by Thomas Wade,a British in the19 th century,used by the foreign translate embassy who lived in Beijing to learn Chinese.It is a historical and cultural literature,which describe the pronunciation,vocabulary and grammar of the Beijing Mandarin in the middle of the nineteenth century also reflected the oral characteristics and corpus value of the Beijing Mandarin in the late Qing Dynasty.The textbook selected a large number of cultural projects with traditional cultural features as corpus,also organized scientifically and reasonably all kinds of projects.The learners in the process of learning Chinese in China's traditional culture and ideas also have a deeper understanding,to show to a certain extent and spread the Chinese traditional culture.At present,most academic circles research the speech,vocabulary and grammar of Beijing Mandarin of this book,but rarly paid enough attention to the arrangement of cultural projects.This paper takes the cultural projects of this book as the research object,combs the characteristics of the compilation of this book's cultural projects,analyzes its value,and provides references and suggestions for the current preparation of the textbooks for the teaching of spoken Chinese textbooks.This paper consists of five parts:The first part,it expounds the origin and significance of the research and summarizes the current research status of this book,points out the drawbacks of the current research,and explains the research ideas and methods of this paper.When presenting the research idea of this paper,we explained the method of classifying cultural projects of “Yü-yen Tz?-êrh Chi”.The second chapter,based on the introduction of the cultural project classification method,cultural projects can be divided into social communication,lifestyle,customs,economy,education,health,political profile,cultural classics,art,history,geography k nowledge,the concept of time,values,religious,class school of thought.This chapter mainly selects six categories of social communication,lifestyle,customs,cultural classics,religious,and Confucianism to studies the cultural projects in this textbook.The third part,by combing and analyzing the cultural projects of “Yü-yen Tz?-êrh Chi” in the second chapter,the characteristics of the compilation of cultural projects in the textbook are summarized and discussed in detail with the contents of the text.The fourth chapter,through the analysis of the previous chapters,summarizes the advanced experience of “Yü-yen Tz?-êrh Chi” in the arrangement of cultural projects,and then provides some advises for the current preparation of the Chinese language teaching materials for foreigners.
