This practice report is based on the author's C-E translation of The Opening Ceremony Implementing Plan-the 60th Anniversary Celebration and the 18th Nadam Convention of Qian Gorlos Mongolian Autonomous County.The source text mainly introduces procedures and various arrangements of the opening ceremony.In this report,the author makes a detailed analysis of the translation task based on her professional knowledge and a large amount of translation practice in two-year study.In the translation process,the major problems the author encountered are the translation of words with ethnic features,non-subject sentences and complex sentences.Based on the comparison and analysis,the author uses the translation strategies of transliteration,literal translation and free translation for the words with ethnic features in the process of translation.The author adopts the strategy of adding subject,and uses the imperative sentences and passive sentences to deal with non-subject sentences.For the complex sentences,the author chooses the strategies of division and restructuring to split and restructure the sentences.The author's translation of the Opening Ceremony Implementing Plan aims to publicize the culture of Chinese minorities and provide references for those who are engaged for the first time in the translation of implementing plan.
