| In the practice of teaching Chinese as a foreign language in Bohai University,it’s found that Burundi students of Chinese intermediate stage make some errors in Chinese simple Vowels pronunciation.The reason for these errors is not only confined to the influence of their mother tongue,but also from their complex linguistic background.Therefore,the method of experimental phonetics is applied to the study of the Chinese simple Vowel pronunciation errors of Chinese intermediate Burundi students,and computer voice analysis system "Table Voice Studio"(Mini-Speech-Lab)and software spss.17.0 developed by Nankai University is also employed in experimental recording,calculation and statistics mapping.Based on the comparison between the Chinese simple vowel pronunciation and simple vowel pronunciation of other four acquired languages pronounced by Burundi students,with Kirundi as their native language,as well as the study of Chinese simple Vowel transfer source of Burundi students under multi-linguistic background,the following conclusions is made:(1)in Burundi students’ Chinese Vowel acquisition,the transfer of mother tongue has the biggest influence,but Chinese learning is not mainly and necessarily influenced by Kirundi when their mother language and other language affect Chinese learning jointly at the same time.And Chinese Vowel/u/is mainly affected by foreign language English;(2)when only the first foreign language has a transfer influence on the pronunciation of Chinese Vowel/y/,the first foreign language may lead to the transfer of Chinese pronunciation;when the first foreign language and other languages of Chinese vowel jointly have a transfer effect on Chinese Vowel/r/,the first foreign language may have a greater transfer influence.(3)in Chinese and other foreign language system,if there are no corresponding Vowels for Chinese Vowel/(?)/and/(?)/,Chinese learners will not be affected.Aiming at the transfer phenomenon shown in the experimental results,this study also provided corresponding teaching strategies and suggestions for Burundi students and other students who learn Chinese under multi-lingual backgrounds from the aspects of different tongue placement,loose level of pronunciation and roundness of mouth shape in Chinese Vowel learning. |
