According to China's National policy for medium and long term educational reform and development(2010-2020),China's education should put people first,advocate quality-oriented education,strengthen education for art,develop students*aesthetics and humanity and improve students5 all-round comprehensive quality.Music Pedagogy aims to develop students'ability of appreciation,and it has aroused people's attention and awareness.Parents hope that their children can receive great music education from a young age.Moreover,music education is very popular,especially vocal music teaching.Nowadays,more and more children receive vocal music education,and more and more music teachers and institutions focus on vocal music teaching.However,more problems appear at the same time,such as low-quality vocal music teaching resources,simple and boring teaching contents and teaching methods,parents' misunderstanding to vocal music teaching and children's lack of interest in learning music.These problems block the development of children's vocal music education.Based on the survey about vocal music teaching status of educational institutions with Yuehu district of Changsha,by comparing vocal music teaching situation in different educational institutions and reflecting problems lying in it,this paper aims to proposal reasonable suggestions for better development of music education.This paper is divided into three parts.The first part details the survey.The second part is the analysis of the survey result.The last part is the solution and suggestions.
