The Value Of China's Ecological Film Studies

Ecological movie is a new topic at present,and so far there are no authoritative definition and few researches on it.However,rapid industrialization bring up ecologic al construction,therefore having a research on ecology is just around the cornor.Chine se ecological movie can be traced back to early 80 s of the 20 th,during which it is a m ainly onefold scientific and educational movie whose expression of ecological consci ouness is passive.Until later period of 80 s,ecological movie makes a breakthrough in subjects and techniques of expression.After the new century,ecological movie emerge s with rapidly increased amount,abundant contents,various techniques,rich subjects,m ore strong appreciation values and wider audiences.In the thesis,the first part summarizes the definition of ecological movie and de velopment of western ecological movie.In the second part,the thesis has classificatio n research on different themes of ecological movie,which mainly stresses on contradi ctions between human beings and themselves,other species and nature.About the thir d part,the thesis retrospects development of Chinese ecological movie,and has discu ssion on its cultural values,art values and social values.And the last part summaries up the future of Chinese ecological movie and proposes advice on its later developm ent.Even if research on Chinese ecological movies are still immature but its emergen ce shows the society attaches importance to ecological problems and that ecological a wareness has been promoted over these years.Along with these,values of ecological movies have shown off gradually and there is going to have more and more future res earch on it.
