With the new situation of the career of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages and the rapid development of the subject,the major: Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages which aims to cultivate International Chinese teachers as well as cultural exchanges and communication talents,has also became a popular and rising major with national attention,social concern and internationalization.Under the new circumstances of rapid development,Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages has become a popular and rising subject with national attention,social concern and internationalization,which aims to cultivate International Chinese teachers as well as cultural exchanges and communication talents.In order to strengthen the construction of the undergraduate curriculum system and to improve the overall quality of cultivating talents who can Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages,this article summarizes the general history of the development of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages,investigates and analyzes the course construction at a provincial local university.By many ways,the article finds out the following four problems in the construction of the current curriculum system of the major: inaccuracy of orientation and unclear training goals;unreasonable curriculum setting and non-distinct curriculum characteristics;unclear relationships between different curriculums and inflexibility of the evaluation mechanism;disconnection between theory and practice and failing to meet demands of the society.Meanwhile,the article puts forward five measures based on the existing problems: highlighting characteristics and clearing training goals;optimizing curriculum setting and clarifying curriculum relations;inheriting traditional culture and absorbing modern advanced culture;meeting the social demands and following the market rules;dealing with the relationships among theory and practice,language and culture,knowledge and skills,Chinese and foreign languages,undergraduate and postgraduate courses.In the end,the article tries to set up a multidimensional interactive curriculum system,which is consisted of “Chinese” + “International” + “Education”,in order to promote the construction of the curriculum system and the sustainable development of the major: Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages.
