A Practice Report On Chinese Translation And Intercompilation Of Personage News Text In Daily Mail Under The Intertextual Theory

With the progress of the times and the development of science,the Internet has become more and more inseparable from people's life.The Internet has brought people closer to each other,and has further narrowed the distance between countries.The economic,political and cultural exchanges are also increasing.In this case,the dissemination of news has provided a bridge for the exchanges of various countries.Therefore,in order to better promote mutual exchanges between different countries,the role of the translator becomes particularly important.At the same time,translators' translation skills is of great importance to the translation work of news.As the requirements become higher,translators not only need to make translations accurate,but also need to re-edit the article structure of the news according to the reading habits of the target language readers.Through introducing translation tasks and the process of translation tasks,the thesis discovers the problems of translation.The thesis focuses on the three major problems of the intercompilation in Chinese translation of personage news discourse: the inconsistency of the logic in English and Chinese discourses;the non-correspondence of the cohesive means in English and Chinese discourses;the differences of the contextual knowledge in English and Chinese discourses.And the thesis adopts splitting and induction of the logical structure,the reorganization and transformation of cohesion and the absorption and expansion of the context respectively.Among them,the inconsistency of the logic in English and Chinese discourses mainly manifest in the non-correspondence of the progressive discourse structure and the consistent discourse structure;the non-correspondence of the cohesive means in English and Chinese discourses mainly manifest in the inconsistency of grammatical cohesion means and the lexical cohesion means;the differences of the contextual knowledge in English and Chinese discourses mainly manifest in the differences in linguistic context and nonverbal context.To solve the above problems,the splitting and induction of the logical structure in the discourse mainly adopt content structure and formal structure,the reorganization and transformation of cohesion mainly adopt rhetorical structure and logical structure and the absorption and expansion of the context mainly adopt textual relevance extension and textual compensation and integration.The case analysis shows that the related translation strategies under the intertextual theory have certain effect on solving the problems found in translation practice,and the effect on the quality of the text is obvious.It is expected that this practice report will have some enlightenment to the Chinese intercompilation of these English texts.
