| With the economic development and improvement of people‘s livelihood, people become eager to travel abroad and pay more attention to tourism events. Tourism news introduces things related to tourism and service information and is an effective way to know tourism events. Under this situation, websites specialized in tourism news have undergone rapid growth. The increase of cross-nation tourism also highlights the importance of tourism news translation. Translating the introduction of domestic tourism sites into English brings new tasks and challenges to translation. The translation of English news and introduction also has the same effect. Changes of demands also call for higher-quality translation which urges scholars and translators to rethink.The text attached in this thesis is about tourism news selected from English websites which has been translated and published on huanqiu.com. Thus, about 10,000 words of English news translation about tourism events and destinations have been gathered. On the basis of current situation of trans-editing of tourism news and problems the author confronting with, the thesis analyzed problems in trans-editing of titles, leads, main body and drawing statements by using examples of translation. It aims to solve translation problem, perfect the author‘s knowledge of translation and throw some light on trans-editing of tourism news. Lying on Hans Vermeer‘s Skopos theory, the thesis analyzed the trans-editing of titles, leads, numbers and drawing statements to explore techniques and methods in trans-editing. To some extent, the author‘s problems in translation practice are solved. It also shows that Skopos theory can effectively guide tourism news translation. |
