According to Super's career development theory,teenagers are at the critical stage of career exploration.For high school students,choosing a suitable college major usually meets some difficulties and needs psychological guidance for career planning.Therefore,career education should be an essential part of secondary education.However,career education has not been paid much attention to and popularized in our country.In fact,the theory of self-efficacy is widely used in the field of individual career decision-making,and the future time perspective and time management disposition are also important factors affecting the self-efficacy of personal career decision-making.The purpose of this study was to further explore the relationship between future time perspective and major decision-making self-efficacy,especially whether time management disposition can be a mediator variable between future time perspective and major decision-making self-efficacy.The research instruments adopted the Scale of Time Management Disposition,Future Time Perspective and Self-Efficacy in Major Decision-Making.This study selected the questionnaire survey method,and the sample in this study consisted of 600 high school students,ranged in age from 14 to 19 years old.The practical significance of this research is to provide effective advice for educators in daily teaching activities,promoting students' thinking about future career,improving their time management and major decision-making ability.This study drew the following conclusions:1.High school students' major decision-making self-efficacy and time management tend to be in the middle level,and there are significant differences in gender,discipline,grade,family monthly income,father's degree and so on.2.Future positive,future persistence,future clarity and future plan had significant positive correlations with time management disposition and major decision-making self-efficacy.Future negative and future confusion were significantly negatively correlated with time management disposition and major decision-making self-efficacy.3.Future negative,future plan and future confusion have a significant negative predictive effect on major decision-making self-efficacy.Future positive,future persistence and future clarity have a significant positive predictive effect on time management disposition and major decision-making self-efficacy.4.Time management disposition plays a partial mediator role between future negative,future positive,future confusion,future plan and major decision-making self-efficacy.5.Time management disposition plays a complete mediator role between future clarity,future persistence and major decision-making self-efficacy.
