This is a report on the translation of Chapter Six Labor Law of Introduction to the Law of the United States.As a brief introduction,Chapter Six provides readers with an overview and information about the principles of the labor law of the United States.It covers five parts: introduction,the national labor relations act,the public sector,the individual employment relationship and conclusion.It is worth mentioning that The National Labor Relationships Act of 1935 plays an important role in the labor law of the United States,setting a framework for the federal government to adjust the labor relations of private enterprises.Since the labor law of the United States is relatively perfect and there is few Chinese versions of the labor law of the United States,this report is of great significance both in theory and practice.To be specific,this report analyzes the characteristics of the English long sentences in the legal texts by comparing the differences between Chinese and English long sentences,and introduces some principles and techniques of translating these long sentences in legal English,such as the principle of accuracy,principle of consistency,principle of standardization and principle of conciseness.As for techniques,there are linear translation,adverse translation,splitting translation and aggregation translation.In order to explain these translation techniques more thoroughly,the author enumerates and gives a detailed analysis of a large number of regulations of American labor law and their corresponding translations,so as to illustrate the specific application of these translation techniques.And then,the author summarizes the translation experience of this project.It turns out that large quantity of translation practice is indispensable for every translator and being good at making full use of all kinds of resources is also one of the basic ability in the process of translation.Finally,the author talks about the limitation and problems to be solved in the report.
