Report On Simulated Chinese-English Simultaneous Interpreting Of 2016 China(Haikou)Marine Tourism Forum

2016 China(Haikou)Marine Tourism Forum is an important event of the 17th Hainan International Tourism Island Carnival.The author used the forum’s record to do a Chinese-English simulated simultaneous interpretation.The thesis includes task description,pre-task preparation,case analysis and conclusion four parts.Three major problems appeared during the simulated interpreting process,namely misinterpreting,leaky interpreting and production problem.Guided by Gile’s Effort Model,the author solves problems with strategies like reformulation,syntactic linearity,and selective omission.Finally,conclusions are made,hoping to provide suggestions for future studies.
