Rhetorical Construction Of Yan Geling's Discourse Of The Ninth Widow

The Ninth Widow is an important representative of the famous American writer Yan Geling.It is a very important piece of work whose creation shifts from rationality to imagery.It is a representative work of her “native” narrative.The novel's language is very different from Yan Geling's other works.The novel's flexible rhetorical skills demonstrate her unique language charm.In order to create The Ninth Widow,Yan Geling went to Henan to inspect.This minister used the Henan dialect.“The Ninth Widow” tells the story about rural “Land Reformation”.It mainly writes a woman's changes in the history of the soul and focusing on an ordinary woman's tough vitality under the great historical background.This novel has exquisite language,and the story is full of ups and downs.During the Land Reformation in Luoyang,Henan Province,the landlord Sun Huaiqing was shot but did not die.His daughter-in-law took him back and hid him in the cellar for nearly two decades until Sun Huaiqing was free.This novel is Yan Geling's creation based on historical facts.It is very touching.After studying,we found a lot of rhetoric in it.This dissertation studies the rhetoric construction of Yan Geling's discourse of “The Ninth Widow” using the Broad Rhetoric and the Western Rhetoric Structure as the theoretical bases.The rhetoric of the Broad Rhetoric is used as a discourse construction method,from the perspective of rhetorical skills,to construct the arts and words for Yan Geling's discourse of The Ninth Widow from the perspectives of self-consciousness of discourse construction,defamiliarization of discourse construction,and rational construction of discourse.The third chapter of the main part of the thesis mainly studies the chapter structure of The Ninth Widow with the theory of Western Rhetoric Structure.This article consists of three parts.The first part is the introduction.It mainly introduces the research status of Yan Geling's novels as well as the theoretical basis and research methods of this article.The second part is the main body.And the first chapter of the main body mainly studies the discourse of fiction and analyzes the dialogue of The Ninth Widow and the rhetorical characteristics of narrative discourse;The second chapter,mainly analyzes the unfamiliarity of the use of The Ninth Widow from the grammatical level,the choice of sentence patterns,and systematically analyzes its rhetorical construction in the grammatical aspect;The third chapter mainly studies and analyzes the overall structure of The Ninth Widow and the textual function of the detailed description from the textual structure.The third part is the conclusion,summarizing the rhetorical art of discourse construction in The Ninth Widow.This article hopes to make a systematic analysis of The Ninth Widow from the perspective of rhetoric,and finally draws the conclusion that The Ninth Widow is a successful novel in rhetoric,and it is full of high art and value in language rhetorical and appreciation.
